My name is Taylor Kemp, and after training as a divemaster with Oceans Unlimited, My dive skills would amaze you.
I came to Oceans in January 2012, after getting my open water certification in Canada. I chose Oceans after emailing a few dive shops. Georgia responded to my email that day and answered all of my questions. After emailing her a few more times, I told her I’d be seeing her in a couple of weeks.
When I arrived at the shop Georgia was the first person I met. She introduced me to everyone, and then drove me to Ana’s house. Ana’s house is where new trainees go when they first arrive in Quepos. It is a great place to stay while figuring out the town and settling in. I stayed at Ana’s house for two weeks and it was a great experience. She was always in a good mood and ready to feed you…

While Puerto Galera is known mostly for its incredible bio-diversity in the world, there are also some great sites for wreck diving. All divers who visit Puerto Galera can enjoy the numerous wrecks available.

Many large Sea Bass and Sweetlips, enjoy the area near the rudder, at a depth of 30 meters. The wreck offers an easy and safe penetration to the interior, with large hatches at the bow and stern. Inside, some delicate sea fans can be
seen. Many corals thrive all over the exterior of the ship, as well, and some macro life can…

Puerto Galera
The best scuba diving spots in Asia can be found in Puerto Galera, which offers more variety than the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. There are over forty-five dive sites available around Puerto Galera where you can see a wide variety of marine life. Yo name a few, we have Canyon, Hibo Reef, H*** in the Wall, Coral Gardens, Alma Jane Wreck, Monkey Beach, St. Christopher’s Wreck and Small to Big La Laguna. In these sites you will see marine life like cardinal fish, lionfish, scorpionfish, oriental sweetlips, batfish, trevally, groupers, snappers, barracudas, frogfish, stonefish, remoras, red bass, sea perch, red emperors and drummers. Occasionally, you can also catch a glimpse of a turlte, octopus and reef shark. The diversity of hard and soft corals, along with hundreds of species of tropical fish life makes Puerto…

Funday Sunday is here, but if you live and work where I do most days are "fundays". A swell has come in and dropped the viz which isn't so good but also with that there has been a surge of krill in the water which has brought us schools of jacks, barracudas and other large fish closer into shore. Talking about big fish, I had the opportunity to go diving last week with some beautiful billfish. I was asked to safety dive for the billfish research project. The idea behind The Billfish Research Project is to pursue collaborative efforts between the science and sportfishing comm
